DONLITE SPECIFICATION AND TECHNICAL DATA

DESCRIPTION

A general purpose building block of medium density manufactured from the finest quality blended lightweight aggregates. Suitable for a wide range of applications in load bearing and non-load bearing construction. The standard block has a textured face which is an ideal key for plastering, rendering and drylining and readily accepts most types of fixings. Paint grade blocks are available for walling to receive a decorative finish.

SIZES & STRENGTHS

The Donlite is a solid block with plain ends, a working face size of 440mm x 215mm, and in thickness’ of 100mm,140mm,190mm or 215mm. Dimensional tolerances comply with the requirements of BS EN 771-3 Strengths are 3.6n, 4.2n, 7.3n and 10.4n.

FOUNDATION BLOCKS

The Donlite 7.3n foundation block, which is manufactured with useful finger-grips has been proven to be easy to handle and lay, efficient and economical. Size: 300mm x 275mm x 140mm

DENSITY

The approx. density of the Donlite range is 1350 – 1500 Kg/m3

SUSPENDED FLOORS

The 100mm 7.3n Donlite can be used in conjunction with pre-cast concrete flooring beams and provides an instant safe and durable working platform.

SOUND INSULATION

The full range of Donlite blocks offer excellent sound insulation which satisfies the building regulations for both party walls and flanking walls.

THERMAL PROPERTIES

The Thermal Conductivity (k value) for 100mm 3.6n & 7.3n blocks is 0.41W/mK and for 100mm 10.4n blocks is 0.48W/mK.

FIRE RESISTANCE

Donlite blocks are manufactured from selected Class 1 non-combustable aggregates and will withstand fire for between 2 and 6 hours, dependant on thickness.

QUALITY CONTROL

The Donlite aggregate block is manufactured to comply with BS EN 771-3 Our process checks and tests provide continuous quality control from raw materials to finished product.
